The JJ-JM Wedding @ Virgin Beach Resort

March 24, 2012, my 7-year and 9 months (at that time) girlfriend tie the knot in one of the beautiful white sand beaches in Laiya, Batangas, Philippines.

Virgin Beach Resort is a quiet and cozy place to relax, enjoy the summer and get married! Well the last one may not be a decision that you should make hastily.

There were banners & flyers posted along the way to help our guests pinpoint the location of our wedding. Like this one:

The mini chapel is located just inside the resort (it's like 20 steps from the nearest casitas) so it's a bit hassle free.

It was a really great wedding for me because some of our friends from Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Canada, Dubai, even my Dad from US who I haven't seen for 8 years came. It's really like a big reunion celebration that happened in a happy sunny summer season at the beach.

After the solemn ceremony, we had a 30 minute free time to relax before heading to the reception.

There are directions & a little booth to register before entering the reception. There are origamis of birds attached in the plants that my wife, her family and friends made.

The reception happened in the big dining hall inside the resort. Our event designer and a friend, Nico Orillano designed the reception. It was very elegant and customized. He is very good! The lights, the drapes, the lanterns, he went berserk. :) Thanks also to our event coordinator and a friend also, Kath Madula, the event would have been unsuccessful w/out her. When Nico & Kath work together they do amazing things.

The cake was pretty simple but cute, it is surrounded by cupcakes at the bottom and origamis as usual, did a good job aesthetically to the cake.

At the end of the reception, we flew 100 flying lanterns to the sky. It was magical.

Just remember, married life is not a destination, it's a journey that we all should enjoy.

For those who already, who are or who will get married, Best Wishes!
